Acer Predator Helios 300 laptop review
The Acer Predator Helios 300 is Acer’s top gaming laptop, but its price is mid-range among the high-end laptop market. It begs the question, is the dance market or is it not working as well as it should?
KEY CHAPTER AC PREDATOR HELIOS 300
15.6-inch, matte, 1920 x 1080, without touch, 144Hz, LCD; 2.6-5GHz Intel Core i7-10750H processor; 16GB RAM; 512GB NVMe HDD; Nvidia RTX 3060; 99Wh battery; 2.7KG. SKU: NHQAUSA0011080AC7D3400.
Design with hands
Taken aback, the black chassis of the Acer Predator Helios 300 might mean a bit for what it’s called. It’s not frumpy or a whole lotta black plastic which includes a rather thick bezel around the screen. However, we do like it. Definitions such as blue, the Predator logo, and rows of covers on the cover, as well as corner corners, add enough decoration to create a unique effect. Also, the silver straps on the palm rest around the trackpad are nice, feel comfortable. RGB slots may not have individual light switches, but all zonal lighting systems strive to make this plastic cable unique and unique.
The Acer Predator Helios 300 has a nice and comfortable keyboard.
Matte, 144Hz, Fullscreen The screen is sharp, clear, and ideal for everyday office work, but that is the second thing. The refreshing 144Hz frequency allows for better gaming but not as much silky as the runners on the market. Still, only the highest-end, competitive FPS players can see it limiting.
The Acer Predator Helios 300 displays multimedia content well, although the color is not as good as we have seen in competitors. There may be small pieces of paper with color gradients, but hardly any barrier works in the area of the adjacent color. Controversy isn’t the best, as well as missing details in the shadows even after full coverage – this can give unsuspecting gamers and enemies flying in the shadows. Although details may still be lost on the main point, the word is not pronounced in the bright area. While some burn-outs and firefighters often see bright objects around the dark, it is not as dramatic and is more likely to distract from the dark interior. It does a good job of reducing meditation, but scratching can be a problem if there is a burning sensation behind you or on the side.
WASD, Acer ‘Sense’s unique assets and applications have been fueled by the environment we are most interested in. We love the keyboard so much to type. Scrabble-tile keys provide good stability for extended comfort and sport comfort. There is a full arm key with a number pad that has a small key. The trackpad is nice and accurate, while the built-in buttons are easy to press and have a pleasant, soothing sound. There is an HD web camera on the top of the cover with several speakers for noise reduction. It is not Windows Hello compatible, but it works very well.
Both speakers were a little frustrated. They don’t sound too loud, and the highest end is a little too small. If the fans are roaring, it can be a little hard to hear anything clearly.
AERO BLADE asked
But here’s the thing, you can’t escape the noise. While it is possible to move and teach everything, when you release everything set automatically, the volume may get irritated at the top and then go back and forth again. On the other hand, this fourth technology Gen. Aeroblade is the most effective in the heavyweight market by adding more weight. Its internal temperature can remain as high as 63oC when some competitors exceed 80oC. On the other hand, unless you tell him not to use the Acer PredatorSense app, you will usually see a noise level above 50dB when carrying, which can rise to 60-70dB. That is like working on the side of a busy road with noise (!) If it doesn’t bother you, close friends, family, co-workers, and travelers may hate you.
The Acer Predator Helios 300 of PredatorSense app is one of the best content management software on the market for its ease and understanding. It can be accessed via a dedicated button via a number pad. It allows for one-click rotation, light gestures, a microphone (and microphone), as well as switching off to turn off the silly “wild roar” sound made on the boot.
On the left is Gigabit Ethernet ports, two USB-A ports, and a 3.5mm audio jack – they are all connected. On the right are (miniaki) miniDP, HDMI, USB-C, and USB-A. If you use them all and have any possible cap caps, they can attach. Included are Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0.
The port is on the left (top) and right (bottom).
Acer’s port is very close and can cause USB conflicts.
The function of ACER PREDATOR HELIOS 300
There are two customizable SKUs of the Predator Helios 300. We are surrounded by an Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU, but the RTX 3070 model is available (for $ 3,199). Based on these two cores, play a single slot of 16GB DDR4-3200 RAM, tenth generation, Hexa-core, 2.6-5GHz Intel Core i7-10750H processor, and 512GB NVMe drives. The latter may be thought of as limiting, mainly as the capacity to run Windows is only 475GB. Anyway, there is space for another RAM stick, an additional SSD, plus a 3.5-inch storage slot.
None of this is the end in the world of high-performance laptops, but we think it could represent a hardware option that offers better performance and lowers the price. But let’s see what the results say…
At PCMark, it managed 5096, which is a little smaller than a typical office laptop and behind the current performance gaming laptops like benchmark makers. With 3DMark Time Spy, it scored 7532, which is an average of 49fps. That said, 3DMark tells us, it’s in the middle of a computer game right now – a massive PC. He also gave the 9349 the Fire Strike Extreme (average of 42fps) and the 6474 the Port Royal ray-tracing test, which was also impressive. In conclusion, it is a fun gaming console that will gently play the title of any AAA game on its Full HD screen.
For those interested in translating, it managed 1338 on Cinebench R15 and 6241 on Cinebench R23.
Finally, even though there is a full PC gaming console out there, the Acer Predator Helios 300 has got what it needs where it is needed – which is nice to see at this price point.
[Note: we will add more of these conditions as the site grows]
At 2.5KG, it’s a smidge side chunky for 15.6-inch laptops but not ultraportable for gaming laptops. Anyway, the best battery – lasts only 5hrs 25mins in PCMark 10’s Modern Office test, but it is a gaming laptop that we don’t expect much. The solid chassis should withstand being rolled around at different LAN assemblies, although the cover changes slightly more than we would like, so be careful not to slip it.
